With the function fences serve, it is important to get superior and durable ones. There are two types of fence wires: galvanised and coated chain link wires. They are used to fence sporting perimeters like tennis courts, basketball courts, and fields. They are also used as barriers for farms, construction sites, and river banks.
There are several kinds of fences serving different purposes. These are some of them:
- Aluminium fence is strong, durable and mostly maintenance free.  It works great for enclosing a swimming pool area.
- Bamboo privacy fences often come in rolled panels. Their solid walls help provide privacy
- Garden fences come in many forms but are typically made from wood or vinyl.
- Electric fences come in different options using different types of hot wire. Â They are usually used by farmers to keep livestock such as cattle inside a field.
- Iron fences are beautiful and they come in different shapes. Fences made from wrought iron or ornamental iron are strong, durable and add security to a property.
- Pool fences add beauty to a pool. However, the safety and cost should also be out into consideration. AÂ child-proof fence, for instance, is made of a vinyl and plastic material in a mesh pattern.
Â
Apart from the types of fencing, the cost also has to be considered.

Using the measurement of a standard plot (120 ft by 60 ft) for calculation
For a 9-inch block fence, the calculation goes thus:
For 120ft (length), and since we have two lengths, that equals to 240ft
For 60ft (breadth), multiplied by two equals 120ft
240 + 120 = 360ft (perimeter line fencing)
Convert feet to inches (1 foot equals 12 inches). Therefore, 360 feet is 4320 inches

Note that the length of a block is 18 inches.
To calculate the number of blocks that will go around the perimeter, divide 4320 by 18 inches. That is 240 line of blocks.
How high do you want your fence to be? This will determine the number of coaches required. Assuming it’s 7 ft (which requires 9 coaches according to standard), then multiply 240 by 9=2160 blocks
However, you should buy additional blocks in case (which is very likely) some break.
